Lamborghini eSports Bringing Back The Real Race in 2021

24 May. 2021

Lamborghini eSports will be hosting their annual racing event again this summer, aiming for a more global approach as racers will compete in traditional Grand Prix as well as three Endurance races to earn points within their regional leaderboards. Last year’s inaugural competition was won by German sim racer Nils Naujoks, in an event that saw a strong viewing audience as a result of the pandemic.

Lamborghini is striving to create an immersive eSports competition at the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO – the three-time winning car of the Daytona 24 Hours. Their in-house design department, Centro Stile has created an exclusive race livery, which is customizable to 12 different versions by the competitors and allowing each car to display the  logos of partners, Kaspersky and Assetto Corsa Competizione.

The tournament is scheduled to run from June to November and racers from around the world can sign up for the open qualifiers which will run on weekdays and closed qualifiers every Saturday. Top competitors will then get the chance to enter The Real Race offering participants the chance to earn points for their respective regional ranking and climb the ladder to become the next regional champion.

Lamborghini’s support and commitment to the eSports scene has become evident and they’ve signed partnerships with major gaming brands including Rocket League and Asphalt 9: Legends, where players can drive Lamborghini models including the Huracán STO and the Essenza SCV12.
